CLI vs non-CLI vs CC routes: which wholesale voice route do you need?

The three route grades you will see on any A-Z rate deck - what each one does, what it costs, and when to use it.

Every wholesale voice rate deck mixes route grades, and the grade matters as much as the price. Here is the plain difference between CLI, non-CLI and CC routes.

CLI routes (premium)

CLI routes pass the caller's number (the Caller Line Identification) through to the destination. Because the called party sees a real number, answer rates (ASR) are higher and the call is more likely to connect. CLI routes usually run 20-40% more per minute than non-CLI, and they are the right choice for retail, enterprise and any traffic where the number's reputation decides whether people pick up.

Non-CLI routes

Non-CLI routes strip or replace the caller ID. They are cheaper and fine for price-sensitive wholesale and transit traffic where the displayed number does not matter. The trade-off is lower answer rates, and some markets block non-CLI traffic altogether, so test before you scale.

CC routes (call-centre / contact-centre)

CC routes are tuned for the dialling patterns of contact centres - predictable PDD and consistent connection behaviour so campaigns run smoothly. Aladin offers CC routes region by region: APAC / Asia Pacific CC routes, Europe CC routes, Middle East CC routes and Latin America (LATAM) CC routes.

How to choose

Match the grade to the job: CLI for quality-sensitive and enterprise traffic, non-CLI for lowest-cost bulk where display is irrelevant, CC for dialler campaigns. Whatever you pick, insist the carrier labels the grade honestly and gives you test numbers to verify ASR, ACD and PDD on your own destinations. Beware grey routes dressed up as cheap CLI.

Aladin labels every route's grade and is Tier 1-interconnected across five regions. See our wholesale voice routes or request a rate sheet.
